Abdul Fattah al-Taruti, Yasir al-Sharqai, Abdul Nassir Hark, Muhamamd Yahya al-Sharqawi, Mahmoud Ali Hassan, Abdullah Muhammad Azab, and Ahmed Awaz Abu Fuyuz are among the Qaris joining the campaign, said Amro Akilla, who has launched it, Baladnaelyoum website reported.
He added that a number of Egyptian organizations have also contributed to the campaign to help protect people’s health.
According to Akilla, the popular Qaris record a video clip in which they cite a number of health recommendations and urge people to stay home.
They then recite verses from the Quran, he went on to say.
Egypt has reported 985 coronavirus cases and 66 deaths from the disease so far.
